The Guelph Community Food Forest acknowledges that where we are located is the traditional territory of the Attawandaron/Attawandaronk/Neutral People. We strive to be accountable to this in all aspects of our work which includes fostering positive relationship while challenging destructive ones.
We are a group of passionate organizers and community members who volunteer our time and energy to nurturing this urban forest space for:
- engaging land space within the city, for food production and to increase the canopy
- to benefit the surrounding neighbourhood and to build a community meeting place
- to provide a gathering space for conversations on food security and workshops to learn food production, preserving and healthy eating
- to provide a learning space for taking care of our environment and the natural things around us
